Thank you so much for all the supportive comments, everyone! I appreciate your insights and your positivity. This post was meant to be about much more than one dissenting commenter and I think most of you understood that. Thank you for being the best readers ever!!

Bravo! Well said lady- you didn't get your knickers in a twist, you just reflected and worked through what you were feeling. And in the end, lead to a thoughtful post on how to keep growing and knowing yourself in spite of it all. You took it beyond the specifics on a comment and made it about the bigger picture of where you are and who you are and why things can hurt and why you have to stay true to yourself.

On the whole I have noticed how your life seems to be fuller and happier and thus you do not need the 'out' of your blog in the way you did before. And when you do post- I love to see that you are happy and to see how you are evolving in your journey as your own boss and business owner. xox

Hey Jem. I rarely comment here (and when I do I mention that I rarely comment here, heheh), mostly because I have it easy - I get to comment to you live, from across the room. But I just thought I'd write three things here. a) this is a lovely entry, thank you as always for sharing. b) while her original comment doesn't seem to be the only catalyst for such an eloquent, insightful post, I'm glad Joni had an opportunity to expound, as it's made for quite an amusing FMB experience. c) remember when you started blogging and I expressed some privacy concerns? I'm glad you pushed past my fears and negativity. I'm better off for you having journaled publicly about your emotional journey, as are the many others whom have been inspired or entertained by it. We're your audience but this is your ride - and every turn has been fascinating. Still, you should consider Brett's suggestion about space. I'll take the cat pics while yer out. Love.

New drinking game! Take a shot for every passive-aggressive or transparently faux-apologetic comment in Joni's latest post.

Separate topic, note for Jen:
I would like you to go to space. I know the post "quitting-your-job/starting-your-successful-business" dramatic arc has much to commend about it, such as getting to see your subtler but in fact deeper journey into your new life with a lovely cat- and boyfriend-filled apartment, the not-insubstantial adventures of *running* the new business, your life in the world of entertainment, and the brave and raw action of openly transcribing your experience of getting what you wanted...and then realizing there are still gigantic and exciting challenges.

BUT...this tiny pause for breath and deserved contentment, it's feeling a little mid-Season Three, know-whuh-mean? So I think they should give you a cute little animated muppet pal, maybe a nephew Scrappy Doo sidekick sort of thing, and you should go to space. Tell the Writer's Room! You'll understand when you're older. (Now where's the "Get a Brighter Flash for Your Digital Camera So Your Nice Apartment Doesn't Seem Dark" button?)
